A little History

History:

On February 19th of this year I took a pregnancy test because I was feeling very "different" I knew that I was supposed to be starting my period very soon but didn't feel like "Aunt Flow" would be making an appearance very soon. Although we weren't trying, I knew that I should take a test to put my mind at ease. Needless to say I took 2 tests that to my surprise were both POSITIVE... I couldn't wait to tell Stephen, so many things were running through my mind!! I called him and told him the news, we were both very scared, nervous, and happy all at the same time. As the weeks went by we started to grow very fond of the idea and became very excited about our little bundle of joy on the way! When we went to our first Doctor's visit at 8 weeks, I had a terrible feeling while waiting for the sonogram technician to come into the room. I knew God was preparing me for the news that we were about to hear. The sonogram tech came in the room to listen to the heartbeat, but there was no heartbeat. It was the absolute worst feeling in the enitre world and no one could say or do anything to make me feel better. I had to have surgery the following week because my body had not caught on that my pregnancy wasn't progressing. We didn't and still don't understand why we had to go through that, but the one thing we do know is that God takes us through everything for a reason and it make us stronger!!

Once it had been 4 weeks after my surgery, my doctor told me that if we wanted to start trying again I needed to wait and have one period. So that's what we did. In May we started trying again, hoping and praying that God would give us a child. We knew that it would be his timing though and not ours. By the end of May I was getting ready for a period to come, I just didn't think it was time this month. I didn't feel like I was pregnant. So I waited for my monthly visitor while we headed to Amarillo to see my grandfather. When we got to Amarillo, I had realized that I was 2 days late on my period. Not thinking much of it, I went and bought a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.... Within 30 seconds the screen on the pregnancy test said "PREGNANT" I was in disbelief but so thrilled at the same time. Stephen was ecstatic as well and so were my parents who were on the trip with us!!

God is sooo good, and no matter how low things get, he always picks us right back up!
